Monday
My father brought us an amazing pie from Emery’s Berry Patch (New Egypt, NJ). It was called “The Trifecta” because it was the 3 best fruit pies rolled into one: a combination of peach, blueberry, and cherry. To be fair, Steve had a slice of this, so technically I can’t be held responsible for all of this piecarnage.
Tuesday
You see, you leave the fork right on the pie while it’s in the fridge- this saves time and allows for eating pie right out of the container. Saving time and energy, plus no dishes to wash. I’m all about efficiency, obviously.
Wednesday
ahem.
Thursday
I LOVE FARMERS’ MARKETS! For around $13 I left with some beautiful, fresh scallions, lodi apples, a Jersey tomato, a yellow tomato, beets, pickling cucumbers, Jersey peaches, white peaches, and sugar plums, which I did not know actually existed until today. All were delicious.
The market is definitely a bit pricier for some items, but you just can’t beat the freshness and flavor.
Friday
My boyfriend cat and his boyfriend napping/birdwatching. They have a very complicated relationship.
Saturday
Saturday was spent taking final exams, cleaning and organizing with my husband, and taking a much-needed mental vacation to Skyrim, where I honed my skills in two-handed combat and alchemy.
Yes, Saturday was exceptional.
Sunday
There’s a good chance our daughter will be 30% pie.
